The Best French Toast Recipe? Okay, I know what you’re saying? These pictures aren’t your typical looking french toast. But is it really the best french toast? You bet your butt! It is so good! Okay, so it’s more of a casserole but the taste is phenomenal! From the delicious crunch on top to the delicious caramelization on the bottom. Of course, as always, Lee’s Marketplace sponsored this post and provided the ingredients for this post.
The Best French Toast Recipe
Equipment
- Smoker / Oven
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Cups Milk
- 6 Eggs Large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon or whatever your taste preference maybe
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- ½ Cup Butter
- 1 Loaf Cut into small Pieces Get Cinnamon bread if available
Instructions
- Great up a 9"x12" Baking Dish
- Stir up brown sugar and butter in a pan on medium heat until the sugar and butter melt. It will take 2-4 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread the bread pieces in 1 ½ – 2 inches in thickness over the top.
- Mix and Beat the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract together and pour over the top of the breat. Insure that the liquid is absorbs in all areas of the bread. Spread cinnamon over the top!
- Cover dish in tin foil or in plastic wrap and and refridgerate overnight for 8 hours
- Pre-heat smoker/oven to 450°, once preheated remove plastic wrap, sprinkle brown sugar over the top and put into the smoker.
- Let it cook for about 30 minutes or until brown and bubbling
