Boy, I love brisket! It is one of the harder things to smoke, but when you make it right there is nothing better! Welcome to The Best Smoked Brisket Recipe! Nothing better to serve for the 4th of July weekend! Of course, we have to give a shoutout to Lee’s Marketplace who provided the ingredients to make this post possible! I am excited for you guys to try this out! Honestly, Brisket is my all-time favorite BBQ meat. No denying, it definitely is one of the fattier meats to eat out there but it makes life oh so worth living!


The Best Smoked Brisket Recipe
Equipment
- Smoker
- Cooler
- Spritzer
- Towel
Ingredients
- 12-15 lbs Brisket
- 1 Cup Trager Prime Rib Rub
- 1 Cup Traeger Coffee Rub
- 2 Cups Apple Juice
- Traeger Texas Blend Pellets
Instructions
- Put the rub on the brisket. Rub it in heavily. Let the brisket sit wrapped 12-24 hours in the fridge wrapped to soak up that rub.
- Once the time has passed. Preheat the smoker to 185°. Once preheated, Put the brisket in the smoker (use super smoke if you have that feature) and let it smoke until the internal temperature of the brisket is 160 degrees.
- Once that is done, pull the brisket out and wrap it in tin foil or butcher paper and put it back in the smoker. Increase the temperature to 225 degrees until the internal temperature of the brisket is 204 degrees.
- Pull out the brisket and wrap it in a towel and put it in a cooler to let it rest 2-4 hours. This is extremely important! Once this is done, pull the brisket out and enjoy it!
