Guys, I’m excited about this recipe! Literally, all you need to do is go buy your favorite raw sausage and smoke it at the optimal range to achieve optimal flavor! This is the Best Smoked Sausage Recipe! Yes, if you want to, go ahead and get some ground up pork, some pork and poultry Traeger rub, and some Hog casings to make your own sausage. Please go to town! Of course, I have to give a big fat shoutout to Lee’s Marketplace for hooking us on their amazing with their regular and Jalapeno bratwurst to smoke! They are my go-to grocery store here in Utah! If you live here in Utah and haven’t tried them out, you are seriously missing out on life!
The Best Way to Smoke Sausage
- Sausage Buy your own, or I like to get ground pork and mix it with Pork and Poultry Traeger Rub and then put it in Hog casings
- Mesquite Traeger Pellets
- Preheat your Smoker to 225°. If your smoker has a supersmoke feature, turn it on!
- Put in your sausage and let it smoke until it the sausage reaches 155° internally. This will take about 2 hours.
- Once the temperature hits, pull those babies out! Slice them up and enjoy!
