We officially leveled up our Westgate Park City experience.
Back in 2020, this was a cozy couples getaway. Fast forward to now, and we returned as a full-on family of four for a staycation… and let me tell you, Westgate Park City somehow managed to feel both kid-friendly AND luxuriously relaxing at the same time. That’s a rare unicorn in the wild. 🦄
Nestled right next to Canyons Village, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa continues to be one of Utah’s premier mountain escapes. Whether you’re coming for snow-covered slopes, summer sunshine, spa days, or poolside lounging, this place delivers year-round.
And this time, we did it BIG.
The 2 Bedroom Premier Villa (a.k.a. Our Mountain Mansion)
Instead of the Luxury One Bedroom we stayed in previously, this trip we upgraded to a 2 Bedroom Premier Villa, and honestly… I don’t think I can go back.
This suite was perfect for traveling with kids while still keeping that upscale resort vibe:
- Full kitchen
- Spacious family room
- Dining area for meals and late-night snacks
- Separate bedrooms (aka parents still get privacy, praise be 🙌)
- Large bathrooms with soaking tub
- Plenty of space for toys, suitcases, and inevitable kid chaos
It truly felt like a mountain condo with hotel-level service.
The kids had room to spread out, we had room to breathe, and everyone slept like royalty.
Win. Win. Win.

If you visit in the Summer this could be your view! This is our view from last time.

Pool Days + Activity Center = Happy Kids, Happy Parents
The pool was a daily event in our household while staying here. Westgate offers multiple pools, including their beautiful indoor/outdoor pool with the glass pavilion, making it perfect no matter the weather.
The kids lived their best splashy lives while we soaked it all in from poolside.
We also spent time at the activity center, which is packed with fun for little ones. Between that and the pool, our kids were entertained for hours, which gave us something even more valuable than a vacation souvenir:
Actual adult relaxation time.

Serenity Spa: Two Hours of Absolute Bliss
Now let’s talk about the crown jewel of this trip.
My wife and I each enjoyed two-hour massages at Serenity Spa, and I’m convinced I briefly left my physical body during mine.
Serenity Spa is exactly what the name promises: peaceful, luxurious, and deeply restorative. From the moment you walk in, everything slows down. Warm tones. Quiet halls. Expert therapists who know what they’re doing.
After chasing kids around the pool and activity center, this was pure magic.
If you visit Westgate Park City and don’t book time at Serenity Spa, respectfully… you are doing it wrong.

Fitness Center
Westgate also boasts a fully equipped fitness center with modern cardio machines, weights, and big TVs. It’s one of those rare hotel gyms that actually feels like a real gym.
Perfect for working off vacation indulgences or pretending you’ll start a new routine on Monday.

Dining: Still the Bee’s Knees 🐝
Edge Steakhouse and Draft Burger Bar remain absolute legends.
Edge continues to rank among the best steakhouses in Utah, and Draft Burger Bar still delivers next-level burgers and shakes that haunt my dreams in the best way possible.
Family-friendly, date-night worthy, and dangerously delicious.

From Couple’s Retreat to Family Tradition
What started as a romantic escape years ago has officially evolved into a family staycation tradition.
Westgate Park City somehow manages to cater beautifully to couples, families, spa lovers, adventure seekers, and foodies all under one roof. Whether you’re skiing in winter, pool hopping in summer, or spa-ing your way through shoulder season, there’s always something happening here.
We came for the memories and left with even more.
And spoiler alert: we’re already planning our next visit.
